About Me

I have long generations in my family! My mother's grandparents came from Naples to start a new life in America (my grandmother is the girl in the first photo below). My mother's father, far right, was a commander in the Navy who fought in the Pacific. My paternal grandfather, below left on the tractor, was a school principal and fisherman whose other son, my uncle, is a salmon fisherman in Alaska. My paternal grandmother (far right in the bottom right photo) spent her childhood summers at Spirit Lake in the shadow of Mount St. Helens. To this day, she talks about how transformative that experience was.

I also love to travel, especially with my parents. I've been lucky enough to visit Rome (I've always been drawn to interesting displays of light and shape; pictured below is a photo I took of the Pantheon's oculus) and Paris (I loved observing the architecture; below is a shot from our window). I also got a chance to visit Cuba several years ago; what a fun and instructive experience! With my mother's phone camera, I captured (far right) what I think was an early sign of my interest in photography. Look at that golden light!

I feel content when I'm at the beach! Pictured below is me before senior year on Cape Cod. I go with my friends and enjoy the warm air and fried food.
